Here’s a simple guide on how to get a police clearance certificate (also called a Good Conduct Certificate) in Kuwait:
If You Are Currently in Kuwait:
- Prepare the documents:
- Copy of passport (photo page and visa page)
- Copy of civil ID (front and back)
- Recent passport-sized photos (white background)
- Fingerprints report (you need to get your fingerprints officially taken)
Get fingerprinting done:
- Go to the Criminal Evidence Department (in Dajeej, Farwaniya).
- Bring your passport, civil ID, and photos.
- They will take your fingerprints and give you a fingerprint certificate.
Translate documents:
If needed (for non-Arabic documents), have them officially translated into Arabic.
Apply for Police Clearance:
Submit your fingerprint certificate and documents to the Ministry of Interior – General Department of Criminal Evidence (Dajeej office).
- Fill out the application form.
- Pay the small fee (around KD 2 to KD 10, depending on the type).
- Wait for processing:
It usually takes 5 to 10 working days.
