A domestic worker was detained by a local police station after an incident that was classified as “attempted suicidal.” It is possible that the incident could lead to her deportation pending confirmation of whether there are any legal obstacles to her removal from Kuwait. After receiving the alert, security personnel were dispatched immediately to the scene. They found the expatriate with an injury to her hand that she had self-inflicted.
Her injuries were treated by emergency medical services on the spot before she was taken to a police station to continue proceedings. The case is still under investigation and her deportation may be considered after all legal and medical checks have been completed.
