MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Filipinos Overseas condemned the mvrder of a Filipina by her Slovenian spouse just a few weeks after Christmas.
Marvil Facturan Kocjancic was 27 years old when she was allegedly mvrdered by her husband Mitja Kocjancic while on vacation in Bled, a resort town, on December 29, 2024.

The CFO said that on Friday, “As we offer Marvil’s loved ones our thoughts and prayers, we also stand with them in solidarity, condemning domestic violence, seeking justice for our “kababayan” and honoring the beautiful and long life she lived.”
The Filipino community in Germany expressed its condolences to the family of the victim and demanded justice for the tragic d3ath.
The group posted on Facebook that the case had caused widespread shock and sadness, especially among the Filipinos in Slovenia where Marvil was just beginning to build a new life. – PNA
