DMW Condoles With The Families of OFWs Who Passed away in Kuwait.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is saddened following the trag!c d3ath of two (2) Filipino workers in Kuwait, who svccumbed to d3ath due to inhalation of harmful gases following a fire on December 2, 2024.

Labor Attaché Manuel M. Dimaano of the DMW Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Kuwait reported that a f@tal fire broke out in Al Adan, Kuwait, and tragically led to the d3ath of the Filipino workers.  According to the report, the workers’ cause of d3ath was attributed to the inhalation of non-breathable, tox!c gases from the fire.

The MWO in Kuwait is currently handling the legal procedures and addressing concerns related to the incident.

The MWO is also facilitating the processing of documents for the repatriation of human remains to the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the DMW Regional Office and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Western Visayas visited the families of the OFWs in Capiz and extended financial assistance to support the affected families during this difficult time.
