MANILA, Philippines – An overseas Filipino worker in the Middle East bought a lottery ticket in the Philippines while on vacation. He was the only winner of the P37.46 million jackpot of the Super Lotto 6-49 on October 20.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office reported that the winner delayed returning to work abroad in order to claim his jackpot prize of P37,462,798 (exclusive of the 20% tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion, or TRAIN) law at the PCSO headquarters along Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.
The OFW told PCSO that his winning combination – 20, 32. 29, 31, 01, 22, – was life-changing for him and his family, as his father always betted on it.
