KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: The Kuwaiti and Philippine sides have discussed ways to strengthen cooperation on the labor file, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting diplomatic sector sources who confirmed the recent bilateral meeting and consultations between the two countries.
Sources praised the meeting that brought together Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Kuwaiti Crown Prince HH Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. It is considered the first step towards resuming labor talks between Kuwait and the Philippines that started in May, sources revealed.
Sources stated it is expected that the coming weeks will witness other positive steps related to the return of Filipino workers to Kuwait.
