The Philippine embassy confirmed that it had not been officially informed of the decision to stop visas for Filipino citizens, pointing out that the embassy will inquire about this matter through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ambassador of the Philippines, Jose Almodóvar Cabrera III, told Al-Rai that consultations between the joint committees of two countries and the authorities concerned with domestic worker matters are continuing to find solutions, in order to reach a conclusion to all outstanding labor issues that have not yet been resolved.
He stated that there is a scheduled visit to Kuwait in the middle of this month for a delegation from the Philippine Ministry of Labor to discuss developments.
