The lives of people in Kuwait drastically changed due to the effects of the pandemic. Even though there are still a number of infections and deaths every day, the government believes that everything is going well and normal life will resume this July.
Kuwait is expected to receive a large number of vaccines as agreed by companies that are producing COVID-19 vaccines. Therefore, in the coming days, vaccination drive will intensify to achieve greater immunity towards the epidemic.
It is expected that supplies will come and vaccination will be held in the coming second half of this year. However, social distancing and minimum health protocol will still be implemented until 2022.
As for the opening of the international airports in the country, it is expected that it will push through as soon as the vaccination drive among all citizens end. This move is to promote the protection and avoid further transmission of the virus brought by new arrivals in the country.
It was also announced by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) that digital permits with the results of COVID-19 vaccines as well as the vaccination certificates will be available for iPhone users in mid-April.
The testing phase is still ongoing and will be launch very soon.
