12 new cases were added to the number of infected individuals in Kuwait for the past 24 hours.
According to the official spokesman of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health, 12 new cases were added raising the number of infected individuals to 188.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a press conference that four persons who had close contact with a patient from the UK and Egypt were also infected. Another two Kuwaitis and two Filipinos were infected.

The ministry spokesperson said that the 6th cases related to a Kuwaiti local arriving from Brazil. Details of other cases are set to be revealed later on.
If there are new cases every day, there are also infected individuals who successfully recovered from the disease. There are currently three new cases of patients who recovered, 2 were Kuwaiti nationals and 1 is a Spanish expat. The country now has 30 cases of patients with COVID-19 who recovered.
Meanwhile, Kuwait already imposed a partial curfew to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
The curfew will start from 5 pm until 4 am on the following day.
“Regrettably, non-compliance with the Ministry of Health’s instructions to stay indoors forced the government to impose the curfew,” says Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Anas Al-Saleh.
Violators will be jailed up to three years and will be fined KD10,000 in line with the Civil Defense Law.
