In any country, it is illegal to forge documents, no matter the reason you have. But it is too late for this Filipino to realize her faults after she forged her salary certificate for personal use.
An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Kuwait was arrested after she forged her salary certificate. It is said that a legal representative of a company went to the police to file a complaint against the Filipino after she forged her salary certificate for personal use and benefits.
According to reports, the complaint was filed at a police station in the Hawalli governorate and the Filipina was arrested later on. At the police station, she was able to admit her faults and confessed to the forgery.
As per the law, legal action will be initiated against the OFW.
Usually, salary certificates are being used as a requirement for loan application. For some banks, there are specific salary qualifications that must be met before you can get a loan.
The reason behind the forgery of the Filipina remains unknown. However, forgery has become quite rampant nowadays, especially because of the advancement of technology. In some countries like Saudi Arabia, the worst cases of forgery are reported as job applicants try to fake their school credentials just to get into higher job positions.
