More than 100 undocumented OFWs from Kuwait were granted an early Christmas gift as they were able to go back to their homes in the Philippines to celebrate Christmas.
Kuwait is one of those Middle East countries preferred by Filipinos as their work destination. Some were lucky enough to land a decent job while others leave feeling distressed and overly abused.
Just recently, about 152 undocumented OFWs came home to the Philippines from Kuwait through the help of the Assisted Voluntary Repatriation Program (AVRP) by the Government of Kuwait and Philippine Embassy. These OFWs were either abused or illegally staying in Kuwait without proper documentation.
