ANNOUNCEMENT: Expats are no longer allowed to enter the Kuwait International Airport just to bid farewell to relatives and friends travelling inside or outside the country.
The new restriction was strictly implemented by Brigadier Waleed Al-Saleh, New Director of the Airport Security Department.
All non-passengers are allowed only in the main gate to avoid congestion and for security reasons.
Mostly, it is seen that travelers are escorted by about 10 people and some are also minding other agendas such as receiving gifts from travelers, creating too much congestion especially in the check-in zones.
The best solution to this problem is to ban expatriates from entering the International airport to bid farewell to their relatives.
