A CLARIFICATION & GENTLE REMINDER: On the crackdown announced in the newspaper.
In my meeting with leaders last Thursday, 22 January, I said that we will use our contacts in Kuwait police and immigration to make the checkings as orderly as possible. Our teams are ready.
But I also said in the meeting that we should be aware. Renew or extend your passports. If your visas are expired, ask your employers to renew them. Otherwise, during checkings just show your visas and passports to police. And consult us.
The embassy is already meeting with all Kuwait police and immigration chiefs to ensure order. Embassy teams will be assigned to the different governorates.
Filipino community leaders, thanks truly for all your help! You inspire your members and your organizations. But to some leaders , please don’t scare your members. Please don’t posts advisories without consulting us.
