“This is a very sad reality and we have to accept that we are paid according to our nationality and the passport we carry. If you are a teacher from the West, your salary will range from KD 800 to KD 2,000. But teachers with the same qualifications from India, Pakistan and the Philippines are paid less – they get KD 170 if newly hired or up to KD 250, but not more than KD 400.”
